This safari offers our clients the opportunity to visit Parc Des
Volcans in Rwanda made famous by Diana Fosseys research on mountain
Gorillas, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for golden monkeys, Lake
Bunyonyi, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale Forest, Murchison
Falls National Park, and Source of River Nile. You will see chimps and
Uganda's incredible wildlife including tree climbing lions, Topis,
Elephants, Buffaloes, birds, crocodiles, hippos and the Shoebill.
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport.
Upon arrival at Kigali airport you will be met and transferred to your
hotel for overnight at MILLE COLLINS HOTEL .this famous hotel featured
in the Oscar winning movie Hotel Rwanda.
Day 2: Genocide Memorial -Parc Des Volcanoes.
Breakfast at the hotel then you will visit the Rwanda genocide
Memorial .later you will visit some crafts shops before proceeding to
Ruhangeri on the foothills of Parc des Volcans.
Over night: Gorilla Nest lodge, Kinigi Guest House.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking.
This morning your "Gorillas in the Mist" tour begins at the park
offices in Kinigi for registration and briefing by ranger guides.
Later you will be transferred to the trailhead where tracking these
gentle giants will begin. The tracking takes a couple of hours before
locating a group after which we will return to the lodge.

Day 4: Visit Diana Fossey Grave-Karisoke research station.
After breakfast we assemble again at the park offices where we shall
visit Karisoke Research centre established by the famous
conservationist Dian Fossey. The movie "Gorilla in the Mist" was shot
here on location . Graves of Dian Fossey and her beloved gorillas can
be visited here and Fossey old living quarters and other land marks.
Return to camp.
Over night: Gorilla Nest, Kinigi Guest House.
Day 5: Travel to Kisoro.
We shall have breakfast at leisure, relax and have lunch after which
we shall travel to Kisoro through Cyanika boarder on the foothills of
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. We shall stay at an historic Travelers
Rest Hotel, set up by Walter Baumgartel, the father of Gorilla
tourism. This hotel has been used by many primatologists involved in
gorilla conservation, including Dian Fossey, a cozy hotel
reminiscent of a bygone era.
Its here where we shall base to explore this scenic park not only
famous for Mountain gorillas but also the rare golden monkeys , birds
and plants endemic to the Albertine Rift Area.
Over night: Travelers Rest Hotel.
Day 6: Golden Monkey Tracking.
After an early breakfast we shall visit Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
and our target will be to track the rare golden monkeys that share
this part of Virunga conservation with mountain gorillas.
Overnight: Travelers Rest Hotel.
DAY 7: Mgahinga-Ishasha Wilderness area.
After breakfast we shall travel to Ishasha the southern sector of
Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for abundant wildlife and
especially the tree climbing lions.
Overnight: Ishasha Bandas, Ishasha wilderness Camp, Savannah Resort.
Day 8: Ishasha Game Drives.
We shall spend another day in Ishasha looking for Game.
Overnight: Ishasha Bandas, Ishasha Wilderness Camp, Savannah Resort.
Day 9: Ishasha-Mweya.
This morning we shall travel northwards to Mweya area on the Kazinga
Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park. We shall arrive in time for
an afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga channel.
Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana Lodge, Institute Hostel.
Day 10: Chimpanzee Tracking.
Early morning we shall go t o Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking.
In the afternoon we enjoy a game drive in the park.
Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana Lodge, Institute Hostel.
Day 11: Queen Elizabeth National Park-Kibale Forest.
We shall travel to Kibale National Park famous for populations of
Chimpanzees and abundant birdlife.
Over night: Primate Lodge, Chimps Nest.
Day 12: Chimpanzee tracking -Travel to Hoima.
Early morning we join local guides for chimpanzee tracking and later
travel to Hoima
Overnight: Kolping House.
Day 13:Hoima-Murchison Falls.
After breakfast travel to Murchison falls National Park through a
scenic countryside traversing the Butiaba Escarpment and the western
part of the rift valley. On a clear day you will see Lake Albert and
the Blue Mountains in Congo. We visit the top of Murchison Falls where
the park gets its name. Later, we retire to our camp situated on the
banks of the Victoria Nile.
Overnight: Nile Safari Camp, Red Chili.
Day 14: Game Drive-Boat Trip.
You will spend another day in this biologically diverse park and
activities include a game drive in the northern sector of the park and
a lunch trip on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls.
Overnight: Nile Safari Camp, Red Chili Camp.
Day 15: Chimp Tracking -Kampala.
This morning we shall travel a short distance to Kaniyo Pabidi, part
of Budongo forest where we shall join local guides for Chimpanzee
tracking, later we shall have lunch in Masindi town and continue to
Kampala.
Overnight: Hotel Africana, Metropole Hotel.
Day 16: Mabamba Shoebill-Jinja.
After breakfast we shall travel to Mabamba Bay on the shores of Lake
Victoria rich in papyrus bird species.This area is the most accessible
place in East Africa to see the shoebill. Later we return to Kampala
for lunch and continue to Jinja.
Overnight: Jinja Nile Resort, Hotel Triangle.
Day 17 : Jinja.
We shall spend the whole day in Jinja .Activities possible
include,White water Rafting ,Horseback safaris ,Quadbike
safaris,bunjee jumping , a visit to the source of river Nile and Speke
Monument.
Overnight: Jinja Nile Resort, Hotel Triangle.
Day 18: Evening Depart.
We have the morning at leisure (Day rooms reserved) later in the
afternoon we shall travel to Entebbe Airport for a flight back to
Europe.
