ITINERARY;
Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe.
Day 2: Entebbe and the Environs Tour of the Uganda Wildlife Education Center Kigungu landing site - a Memorial to the first catholic
missionaries Fr Laudel and Brother Amans, later, you will be lectured
about;
-Medicinal plants,
-Animal behavior,
-Ecology of lake Victoria,
-Historical and Cultural relevance of Entebbe to modern Uganda.
Day 3: Travel to Jinja. Visit Sezzibwa Falls Nile Breweries Visit Bujjagali Falls Source of River Nile Lecture about John Hannington Speke; the Explorer - His
Discovery travels inside Uganda.
Day 4: Full day in Jinja - You have Options for; White water rafting Quad Bike safaris along the Nile Bunjee jumping Visiting a local market.
Day 5: Jinja/ Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary/ Masindi. Morning depart for ziwa Rhino sanctuary Guided walk to observe rhinos at Ziwa Arrive Budongo forest late afternoon
Lecture about Ecology of Budongo forest.
Day 6: Masindi - Murchison Falls National Park. Morning drive to the top of the Falls Afternoon boat cruise on Victoria Nile to base of Murchison Falls
Day 7: Murchison Falls- Hoima. Morning game drive in the Delta area. Afternoon travel to Hoima and visit; Traditional Dancers, Royal
tombs, visit a Local market, Evening Stay at a Guest House on a local
Diary farm.
Day 8: Hoima- Fort portal. Tea Estate. Morning drive to Fort portal. Visit Tooro Botanical Gardens. Medicinal Plants Lecture. Visit the Royal Palace. Stay at a Tea Plantation
Day 9: Tea Estate- Kibale Forest National Park. Lecture about tea husbandry;
-Tea processing
-Tour Tea processing factory
-Test factory fresh tea
Visit Kibale Forest National park Afternoon at Leisure.
Day 10: Kibale Forest National Park. Morning Chimpanzee tracking Afternoon visits to Bigodi Primary and Secondary school Evening educational session on: Medicinal plants and the
primates of Kibale, chimpanzee behavior, the relevance of the park to
the surrounding communities.
Day 11: Kibale Forest/Queen Elizabeth National Park. Morning depart for Queen Elizabeth National park Game drive
Evening education session about; -Animal behavior -Conservation issues and strategies -Status of Africa's wildlife -Human-wildlife conflicts
Day 12: Queen Elizabeth National Park. Morning game drive Afternoon guided Boat Trip on the Kazinga Channel Visit the Museum at Mweya Visit Katwe Salt Lake Visit Lake Munyanyange for birds.
Day 13: Queen Elizabeth/ Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Morning departure for Bwindi Forest walk to the water falls
Evening education session : the critically endangered mountain gorillas; Behavior and Ecology Conservation challenges and successes Birds - Albertine Rift Endemics.
Day 14:Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Gorilla tracking Guided walk in Bwindi area visiting local communities Visit a Natural healer, brewing banana wine, and a local school.
Day 15: Bwindi- Mgahinga gorilla National park.
Mornings depart for Mgahinga you will visit a botanical garden with; Medicinal plants in Albertine area.
Day 16: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Nature walk to see; Golden monkeys Medicinal plants Albertine Endemic birds Volcano climbing/ mountain climbing Animal Behavior and Ecology Lecture about Gorilla Habituation Visit Garama caves formerly inhabited by Pygmies Visit Pygmies.
Day 17: Mgahinga- Lake Bunyonyi, Kabale. Boat ride on lake Bunyonyi Visit a local blacksmiths, participate in making local tools Meet teachers and students Visit class rooms Learn about Uganda Education System Visit Project to resettle pygmies.
Day 18: Lake Bunyonyi - Kabale. Visit womens group Participate in traditional crafts; making mats and baskets Afternoon visit an Orphanage.
Day 19: Kabale- Buggala Island (Ssese Islands). Visit Masaka Fort Visit Kitovu Cathedral (World heritage site) Continue to Buggala in Ssese islands. Barbeque and evening drink at the sand beach.
Day 20: Buggala Island. Visit Fort Speke ruins. Bird watching and visit a local fishing village.
Day 21: Buggala- Entebbe - Depart.
